March forth to seek the forgiveness of Your Lord...

I was reading the Qur-aan when I reached the following verses which made me cry profusely.. and I hope they will touch your heart and make you cry as well.. subhaanAllaah...

And march forth in the way (which leads to) forgiveness from your Lord, and for Paradise as wide as are the heavens and the earth, prepared for Al-Muttaqûn (the pious - see V.2:2). (Aali Imran 3:133)

Those who spend [in Allâh's Cause - deeds of charity, alms, etc.] in prosperity and in adversity, who repress anger, and who pardon men; verily, Allâh loves Al-Muhsinûn (the gooddoers). (Aali Imran 3:134)

And those who, when they have committed Fahishah (illegal sexual intercourse etc.) or wronged themselves with evil, remember Allâh and ask forgiveness for their sins; - and none can forgive sins but Allâh - And do not persist in what (wrong) they have done, while they know. (Aali Imran 3:135)

For such, the reward is Forgiveness from their Lord, and Gardens with rivers flowing underneath (Paradise), wherein they shall abide forever. How excellent is this reward for the doers (who do righteous deeds according to Allâh's Orders). (Aali Imran 3:136)

Category: Contemporary Issues

At this present time (today), the Muslims are suffering from evil attacks from the overpowering enemy (forces) from all sides, from the war in Afghanistan, the war in Iraq, the war in Palestine, (and) the war in Lebanon. And that which we hear and read from our preachers (khateebs) and writers (journalists), all of it is condemnation of the actions of the enemies. And there is no doubt in (any of) these issues. However, are the disbelieving enemy affected by these raised voices? The disbelievers, from long ago, have wanted to wipe out Islaam from existence, as Allaah (Ta'aala) says:

{And they will never cease fighting you until they turn you back from your religion (Islaamic Monotheism) if they can}, [Soorah al-Baqarah, Aayah 217].

But the issue is, what have the Muslims prepared in response to them and in preventing their attacks?

Indeed it is obligatory upon them, firstly, to: Look at their current state in terms of their religion and their adherence to it, for indeed that which has afflicted them is as a result of negligence in (practising) their religion. And in a narration (it is said): ((If the one who knows Me is disobedient to Me, I will cause the one who does not know me to overpower him (in authority))). And what happened to the Banee Israa.eel (Israelites) when they left their religion and caused mischief on the Earth, Allaah caused them to be overpowered (in authority) by the disbelieving Magians (fire worshippers) and:

{they entered the very innermost parts of your homes} as Allaah has mentioned at the beginning of Soorah al-Israa., Aayah 005].

And Allaah threatened them, that if they were to return (back) to their ways, then He will punish them. So it is imperative that we assess our current affairs and rectify that which is corrupt from our affairs with regard to the religion, for (certainly) the Sunnah of Allaah does not change. And Allaah (Ta'aala) says:

{Verily, Allaah will not change the (good) condition of a people as long as they do not change their state (of goodness) themselves (by committing sins and by being ungrateful and disobedient to Allaah). But when Allaah wills a people's punishment, there can be no turning it back, and they will find besides Him no protector}, [Soorah ar-Ra'd, Aayah 11]

Secondly, it is (incumbent) upon us to prepare ourselves with that which we can confront our enemies with, as Allaah (Ta'aala) says:

{And make ready against them all you can of power, including steeds of war (tanks, planes, missiles, artillery) to threaten thereby the enemy of Allaah and your enemy, and others besides them, whom you may not know, (but) whom Allaah does know}, [Soorah al-Anfaal, Aayah 60].

And that is by putting together (preparing) armies and (acquiring) suitable weapons and (thereby attaining) defensive strength/power.

Thirdly, the unification of the Muslims upon the (firm) belief of Tawheed and ruling in accordance with the Sharee'ah (of Allaah) and (firm) adherence to Islaam in all our affairs from (our) dealings and (good) manners and ruling by the Book of Allaah and commanding the good and forbidding the evil, and calling to (the Path of) Allaah upon (sound) knowledge, insight and sincerity.

Allaah (Ta'aala) says:

{And hold fast, all of you together, to the Rope of Allaah (i.e. this Qur.aan), and be not divided among yourselves}, [Soorah Aal-'Imraan, Aayah 103] and He (Ta'aala) says:

{and do not dispute (with one another) lest you lose courage and your strength departs, and be patient. Surely, Allaah is with those who are as-Saabiroon (the patient)}, [Soorah Al-Anfaal, Aayah 46]

So it is not possible to unite whilst there are differences in 'aqeedah and in (our) aims and goals, until the 'aqeedah is correct and the goals are one (namely) for the victory of the Truth and the raising of the Word of Allaah (above all else); If only the preachers and advisors in their speeches and advice would concentrate on these issues (just) as they are (concentrating on) criticising the attacking enemy.

The evil aims of the enemy must be explained (exposed), and that the weakening of the Muslims and the grabbing of their wealth and possessions are not (the) only intended (aims), rather, on a major level it is intended to corrupt their 'aqeedah and (cause) their turning away from their religion until they have destroyed them to pieces.

And this is what I wished to warn about with regards to this catastrophe."

Grand Mosque Imam: Find Righteous Path

Grand Mosque Imam: Find Righteous Path
Arab News

MAKKAH, 28 July 2007 — Imam and khatib at the Grand Mosque Sheikh Saud Al-Shoraim attributed the problems facing Muslim societies to their failure to understand the sound teachings of Islam.

While addressing a large Friday congregation at the Grand Mosque yesterday, Sheikh Saud Al-Shoraim said that some selfish people are interpreting the principles of Islam to suit their whims. They portray the image of Islam in a distorted manner falsifying and demeaning the reality.

“The falsehood has been heaped on the truth,” said the sheikh. “Ideas extraneous to Islam have been placed over the strong and original principles of Islam to such an extensive manner that the people have been led to view and understand Islam in an upside down form.

“People have been fed with polluted ideas about Islam. When efforts are being made to return them to the right path shown by the Prophet, peace be upon him, they reject it. Those who strive to bring them back to the right path are accused of being reactionaries with stagnant ideas.”

The sheikh condemned the preachers of misguidance and deceptive teachings as the ones who break the Muslims to sects of pervert ideologies. “Islam has only one law and a single distinctive feature. It is a God-fearing and pure society in which prevails an atmosphere of purity and clarity. Its goals are clear and sound in every respect,” the sheikh said. He warned the promoters of pervert ideologies against marginalizing the Islamic Shariah.

He said they are “creating confusion and presenting the falsehood in the form of the truth, the ugly in the form of beauty and the evil in the guise of virtue.”

He warned such misguided people against the hiding of the truth from the people and called upon them to accept the eternal law of Allah which is crystal clear and valid for all people in all times.

He reminded the misguided preachers that there is no dignity for the people without the real teachings of Islam. The loss and ruin are the plight of the Muslims if they keep away from the true teachings of Islam, he said.

The sheikh called upon the Muslims to stand firm against the waves of misguided teachings aimed at marginalizing the true Islamic way and Shariah.

Informing The Authorities of Terrorist Plots

By Abu Khadeejah Abdul-Waahid bin Saaleh

The Salafi position with regarding those who incite or plan terrorist acts such as suicide, kidnap or bombings is that Muslims should inform the authorities of their activities. This is regardless of whether these acts are perpetrated in Muslim or non-Muslim countries. Muslim communities must be at the forefront of stamping out these non-Islamic acts that are done falsely in the name of Islam. The Messenger of Allaah stated:

“Whoever sees an evil, let him change it with his hand. If he is not able to do that, then let him change it with his tongue [by speaking]. And if he is not able to do that, then let him [hate it] with his heart, and that is the weakest of faith.” (Reported by Muslim)

The Scholars have stated that forbidding with the hand is done by the governments and the authorities, so they hold and punish and imprison the evil doers. If they withhold from this duty, it does NOT fall into the hands of the citizens to take the law into their own hands. Rather they remain patient. As for speaking against the evil in terms of refuting the false ideologies, then that is for the scholars and the people of knowledge, not for the ignorant, and there has never been a time in the history of Islam, except that the scholars have spoken out against evil ideologies and doctrines as a safeguard for Islam, and this will not stop up until the final Hour is established. As for the general person then he forbids only in accordance to his knowledge and ability in line with the rulings of the true scholars of the Sunnah based upon the Qur’aan and the Sunnah. As for hating with the heart, then this for the one who recognizes evil, but does not have the knowledge nor the ability to speak against this, so he distances himself from it and keeps away from it. So as it relates to the terrorists, then it is known by the one possessing knowledge as well as the one who is devoid of it, that these acts are evil and condemned by the Muslim scholars based upon the texts of the Qur’aan and authentic Sunnah. So both, the one possessing knowledge and the general person, informs the authorities of those that incite or plan terrorist acts.

And this is from the aspect of forbidding evil and thereby earning the reward of Allaah, the Most High. Indeed it is a distinguishing trait of this nation that they enjoin the good and forbid the evil. Allaah states;

“Let there rise from amongst you a group that call to good and they enjoin the good and forbid the evil. And indeed they are the successful.” (Qur’aan 3:104)

Indeed nations that came before were cursed upon the tongues of the Prophets due to them not forbidding the evil when it appeared. Allaah, the Most High, states;

“Those amongst the Children of Israel were cursed by the tongue of Dawood (David) and Eesaa the son of Maryam (Jesus son of Mary), because they used to transgress the bounds. They used not to forbid one another from evil which they committed…” (Qur’aan 5:78-79).

So Muslims should take heed from this great verse. Additionally the Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu alaihi wassallam) stated:

“There are not a people amongst whom sins are committed, and they are stronger than those who commit them yet they do not prevent them, except that Allaah sends His punishment upon them all.” (See Tashabbuhul-Khasees of adh-Dhahabee, and the hadeeth is authentic)

Another reason why these terrorists and their ideology must be stamped out is due to the fact that they are innovators who have attributed to Islaam, that which Islam is free of, and it is impermissible to accommodate them or defend them or protect them, due to the statement of the Prophet (salallaahu alaihi wassallam),

“Whoever innovates or accommodates an innovator, then upon him is the curse of Allaah, His Angels and the whole of mankind.” (Reported by Bukhaaree and Muslim).

And there is not a shadow of a doubt from an Islamic perspective, that these terrorist ideologies are innovations and these perpetrators are innovators, and it is not permissible to protect them or give them refuge.

One can recognize the ideology of the these evil doers from certain matters that their lectures and discussions always revolve around, from them is that they always call for rebellion and revolution in the Muslim lands and against the Muslim rulers; they declare the Muslim rulers and those who work in the apparatus of government to be apostates and unbelievers; they praise the suicide bombers and terrorists and insurgencies in Iraaq, Palestine and other places and continually justify their actions; they may praise the bombings of 9/11 in New York, 7th July bombings in London or the Madrid bombings. These discussions of theirs may not necessitate that they themselves will organize or carry out terrorist acts but this speech of theirs incites others towards violence. Remember it only takes two or three young men (or women) who have been affected to go out and wreak havoc. The Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu alaihi wassallam), mentioned these renegades (known as the Khawarij) in a narration;

“If I am alive when they appear, I will slaughter them with the slaughtering of Aad.”

And Aad was a tribe mentioned in the Qur’aan that was punished by Allaah for their
evils and transgressions. He also stated, “They are the worst of Allaah’s creation under the sky.” There are many, many other narrations of the Prophet and his Companions describing them, to the extent that Shaikhul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah and Imaam an- Nawawee, two great scholars of the middle ages, stated the consensus of the great Scholars of the Salaf and Sunnah that these renegades must be prevented and fought against. In fact Shaikhul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (died 728 AH) stated that the Khawaarij are more harmful to Islaam and the Muslims than the Jews and the Christians. And this is due to the fact that these Jihaadis, Takfeeris and terrorists are a cancer within the ranks of the Muslims, destroying the purity of the Religion from within.

So when one looks at the activities of these people such as the killing of men, women and children, Muslim and non-Muslim alike, one sees that they are indiscriminate in their murderous acts. After what has been mentioned above one can see why the Scholars of this noble and blessed Salafi da’wah have issued verdicts calling people to inform the authorities if they know of anyone inciting or planning terrorist acts.

There is NO doubt that those who make a link between terrorism and what they term as ‘The Wahhaabis’, intending by that the Salafis, have made a mythical link based upon fallacies and falsehood. The great Scholar Muhammad Ibn ‘Abdul-Wahhaab (died 1206AH), after whom his adversaries invented the derogatory term ‘Wahhaabi’ for anyone who studied his works - then this Scholar was the most fervent in his opposition to deviation and deviant ideologies. Rather the Salafis, whom the opposers term as Wahhaabis, have been at the forefront of combating the takfeeri, Jihaadi and Khariji ideologies, for decades. And this refutation of the Salafi scholars upon these groups was not just a mere response to modern-day events but rather a religious obligation upon them regardless of prevailing circumstances.

So Syed Qutb, the father and reference point of the modern-day Jihadist-terrorist movements, was refuted by the Salafi Scholars for his call to assassinations and violent revolution decades ago and again in the early nineties by the likes of the Salafi scholars such as Shaikh Bin Baaz, Shaikh Bin Uthaimeen and especially in great detail by Shaikh Rabee bin Haadee al-Madkhalee who authored several books in exposition of Syed Qutb. Shaikh Bin Baaz warned and exposed the evil doctrine of Usamah bin Laden back in the early nineties, whilst the Islamic political groups were in praise of him. Sayyid Abul Ala Maududi is another reference point for the modern day violent politically motivated groups, yet the Salafi Scholars such as Shaikh Rabee al-Madkhali, Shaikh Ubaid al- Jaabiree, Shaikh Hammaad al-Ansaaree exposed his errors and warned against his approach. Another example is the warning of the Salafi Yemeni Scholar Muqbil bin Haadee against the HAMAS of Palestine whilst the latter were supporting terrorist attacks on civilian buses in Israel. We also have the Scholarly Salafi stance against Hizbollah of south Lebanon and former leader of Iran, Khomeini such as the statements of Shaikh Bin Baz, Shaikh Bin Uthaimin, Shaikh Ahmad an-Najmi and others. Shaikh Ibn Uthaimeen in his now published explanation of ‘Riyaadhus-Saaliheen’ well over fifteen years ago showed his clear abhorrence at the suicide bombings in Palestine. So this is the clarity with which the Salafis speak and have always spoken. Over a thousand years of Salafi authorship, from the time of the disciples of the Prophet until this day, the Scholars of Sunnah and Salafiyyah have been refuting the false ideologies, whether extremist or negligent - Whereas the people of deviation will respond based upon political expediency, but the underlying ideology in support of revolution and suicide attacks remains. How is it possible to be straddle both sides of the fence in this issue, whilst the Qur’aan and Sunnah is so clear upon them?

What is astonishing is that these same people accuse the Salafis, whom they call Wahhaabis, of being responsible for these false extremist ideologies. It reminds us of the lines of poetry:

“She accused me of the illness she possessed, and then slipped way!”

Raising the hands in supplication after the prayer

Raising the hands in supplication after the prayer
Question:

Raising the hands in duaa (supplication) after the 5 prayers – is the raising of them established from the Prophet sal Allaahu alaiyhi wa sallam or not? And if it is not established, then is it permissible to raise them after the 5 prayers or not?
Answer:

It is not established from the Prophet (sal Allaahu alaiyhi wa sallam) as far as we know that he raised his hands in duaa after the salaam in the obligatory prayers – and to raise them after the salaam in the obligatory prayer is in opposition to the Sunnah.

And with Allaah is the tawfeeq. And may peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.

Wanita-wanita Munafiq

1. Al-Mutabarrijat (wanita pengumbar aurat)

(QS. Al-A'raf: 26)

"Wanita yang tabarruj itu adalah munafiq."

Lihat kitab Hijab al-Mar'ah al-Muslimah karya Syaikh Al-Albani.

Imaam Barbahaaree on the Innovators

Imaam al-Barbahaaree (rahima-hullaah) mentions:

((The innovators are like scorpions.

They bury their heads and bodies in the sand and leave their tails out.

When they get the chance they sting; the same with the innovators who conceal themselves amongst the people, when they are able, they do what they desire)).

Giving Salaam & Shaking Hands During The Jumu'ah Khutbah

Question:

A man is sitting silently listening to the Jumu’ah khutbah. Then unexpectedly someone next to him in the Masjid puts his hand out to him for salutation, should he leave him or should he shake his hand?
Answer:

He should shake him by the hand and not speak, then he should return the salaam (verbally) to him after the first khutbah has ceased. This is if he gave you salaam during the course of the first khutbah. If however he gave you salaam during the course of the Imaam delivering the second khutbah then you should give him the reply to his salaam after the Imaam has finished from the second khutbah.

Terrorist with a Visa

Terrorist with a Visa

Shaykh Abdul-Muhsin al-`Ubaykaan

Reference: Refer to attached audio file

Category: Terrorism

Those who travel to and enter non-Muslim lands under a pact of safety (Visas), how could they then prove treacherous and betray it!?

How can a Muslim not realize this?

Do you not see that if a man enters a non-Muslim country and is given a pact of safety (a visa), that this is a betrayal? Every betrayer of a trust will have a banner raised over him on the Day of Resurrection, and it will be said: ‘This is the treachery of so and so’ – by name. This would be publicized on the Day of Resurrection, because he is treacherous.

The Messenger of Allaah (صلى الله عليه وسلّم) said:

((Do not betray even those who betray you.))

Even the person who betrays you, you mustn’t betray him! But these people, how is it that they enter with a pact of safety (a visa) and then prove treacherous? This is not the way of the believers, nor is treachery a characteristic of the Prophet, may the Salaat and Salaam be upon him, or his companions, and we seek refuge with Allaah from that.

Was the Prophet created from light?

Was the Prophet created from light?
Question No 4509

Question:

Most people think that things were created from the light of Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and that his light was created from the light of Allaah. They narrate, “I am the light of Allaah and everything is from my light” and also, “The first thing that Allaah created was the light of Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).” Is there any basis for this? They also narrate “I am ‘Arab without (the letter) ‘ayn, i.e., Rabb, and I am Ahmad without (the letter) meem, i.e., Ahad.” Is there any basis for this?

Answer:

Praise be to Allaah.

The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) has been described as being light from the light of Allaah. If what is meant by this is that he himself is from the light of Allaah, then this goes against the Qur’aan, which refers to his being human. If what is meant is that he is light in the sense that he brought the Revelation by which whoever Allah wills of His creation is guided, then this is correct. The committee has issued a fatwa concerning this matter, as follows:

“The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) has light which is the light of the message and guidance from Allaah, through which Allaah guides whomsoever He will of His slaves. No doubt the light of the message and of guidance comes from Allaah. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

‘It is not given to any human being that Allaah should speak to him unless (it be)by inspiration, or from behind a veil, or (that) He sends a Messenger to reveal what He wills by His Leave. Verily, He is Most High, Most Wise.

And thus We have sent to you (O Muhammad) Roohan (an Inspiration, and a Mercy) of Our Command. You knew not what is the Book, nor what is Faith? But We have made it (this Qur’aan) a light wherewith We guide whosoever of Our slaves We will. And verily, you (O Muhammad) are indeed guiding (mankind) to the Straight Path (i.e., Allaah’s religion of Islamic monotheism), --

The path of Allaah, to Whom belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. Verily, all the matters at the end go to Allaah (for decision).”[al-Shura 42:51-53]

This light is not derived from the Seal of the Awliya’ as some heretics claim. The body of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was blood and flesh and bone, and so on. He was created from a father and a mother, and had no existence before he was born. The reports which say that the first thing created by Allaah was the light of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), or that Allaah grasped a handful of the light from His Face and that this handful was Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), then He looked at it and it formed drops, and from each of these drops He created a Prophet, or He created all of creation from the light of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) – all of these reports and the like are not saheeh, and nothing like this has been narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).”

From the fatwa quoted above, it is clear that this is a false belief.

As for the report which says “I am ‘Arab without (the letter) ‘ayn, i.e., Rabb, and I am Ahmad without (the letter) meem, i.e., Ahad” – the attributes of Lordship (ruboobiyah, from Rabb meaning Lord) and Absolute Unity (Ahad meaning One) are attributes that belong uniquely to Allaah, may He be glorified and exalted. It is not permissible for any one of His creation to be described as “the Lord (Rabb)” or as being One (Ahad) in absolute terms. These are attributes that belong exclusively to Allaah, and are not used to describe the Messengers or any other human beings. May Allaah bless our Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions.

Fataawa al-Lajnah al-Daa’imah, 1/310.

Question:

Is it said that Allaah created the heavens and earth for the purpose of creating the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)? What is the meaning of the words, “Were it not for you, the universe [lit. heavenly bodies] would not have been created”? Is there any basis for this hadeeth? Is it saheeh or not? Please give us the facts.

Answer:

The heavens and earth were not created for the sake of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). They were created for the reason mentioned by Allaah in the aayah (interpretation of the meaning):

“It is Allaah Who has created seven heavens and of the earth the like thereof (i.e., seven). His Command descends between them (heavens and earth), that you may know that Allaah has power over all things, and that Allaah surrounds (comprehends) all things in (His) Knowledge.”[al-Talaaq 65:12]

As for the hadeeth mentioned, it is falsely attributed to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and has no grounds for authenticity. May Allaah bless our Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions.
